NBI’s Fundraiser Dinner A Great Success!

It was a great evening at the No Boundaries International 2nd Annual Fundraiser Dinner. The event opened up with R&B band “Nita Fruit” softly playing in the background as guests from all over the metro area came into the OakTree Country Club dining room. Special appearances were made by District Attorney David Prater, Oklahoma City Police Chief Bill Citty, members of federal law enforcement, officers from the Salvation Army and members of Rusti Bates’ family. Emcee KFOR’s anchor Ali Meyer hosted the evening as special speakers Dr. Lori Basey, No Boundaries International’s President, and Gigi Codman shared their personal experiences of dealing with the effects of human trafficking. The audience was then given a special viewing of the documentary trailer called “Hope” that gave first hand accounts from survivors of human trafficking as well as reading of the diary of Rusti Bates’, the 27 year old mother of 3 who was recently tragically killed near the South Robinson Avenue track. Throughout the evening, guests bid on various silent auction items and then concluded with a live auction that contained such enticing items such as Thunder vs. Lakers tickets, a signed Kevin Durant picture and a helicopter ride over the city lights of Oklahoma City. It was an amazing evening especially knowing that all the proceeds (which are still being counted) go directly toward NBI’s Project HOPE, in our fight against human trafficking.

Again, we say a big “THANKS” to all those who attended and who so generously gave of their time and their money!
