Project HOPE:
Although located in the center of the US “Bible Belt”, devastation can still be found in this county of 715,755 people. With a “church on every corner”, there is still a sizeable population of homeless, oppressed, prostitutes and disadvantaged elderly in the inner city area. Officials report that on any given night in the OKC area, between 6000 – 8000 people are homeless. Crime, substance abuse, poverty, and oppression are just a few of the issues that plague the lives of many. NBI has identified a ministry hot zone in the heart of Oklahoma City where we are targeting the specific needs of the homeless, oppressed, prostitutes, elderly, and at-risk children and youth with our “Project Hope”. As you partner with us in Oklahoma county, typical activities may include:
- Reaching out to prostitutes and those caught in the web of the sex trade (click here to find out more…)
- Providing basic needs for the poor
- Inner healing
- Bible studies
- Life skills training
- Targeted outreaches
- After school/summer children and youth programs
- Prevention and wellness training
