After hosting a block party in the Robinson area, NBI was challenged with this question: “Are you just going to feed and entertain us for one day, or are you going to do something about this?”
On June 12th, 2012 NBI purchased a house in the Robinson neighborhood, creating a foundation for relationships among the troubled neighborhood, supplying a light to the darkness, and providing a place anxiety and fear no longer thrives.
Prayer is held every Friday night at 7pm and lasts for two hours. You can come and go as needed. Every Saturday morning staff and volunteers meet at 10am for Adopt-a-Block. The activities vary from spending time with neighbors in the area, picking up trash, delivering groceries, helping with yardwork, hosting games for the children in the backyard, etc. All are welcome to come.
