Kids for Congo

"Kids For Congo" is a program designed to create awareness and allow children an opportunity to get involved and make a difference in the lives of other children. The Well, a division of No Boundaries International, a 501 (c) (3) organization, is dedicated to providing care and education for children in the North-Kivu Province, a war torn region of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Africa. At the Well, we realize that people of all ages care, but may be unaware of the issues that are taking place all around us. There are many things that we as Americans take for granted each day like clean water, schools, doctors, beds, shoes, and even basic supplies such as pencils, which are not available to many children around the world. In some regions, like in the North-Kivu Province, day to day safety is also a serious concern. In DRC, one in five children die before the age of 10 from preventable things like starvation, disease, and war. The exciting news is...with a little help from a lot of people, things CAN change.

Each of us has the power to create change. Young and old alike can join together, offering a unique blend of talents and experiences that can be used to benefit others. If everyone does a little, it adds up to something great! At The Well, we are partnering with others who care and are willing to use their time and efforts to make a difference in the lives of children in the DRC. If you would like to join us in helping the people of DRC, here are a few things you can do:

FUNDRAISE: (GIVE)

Ask your school to sponsor a fundraiser to help the students of Muyisa School in North-Kivu DRC
Mow lawns
Host a bake sale at a church or in your neighborhood
Help your parents organize a garage sale
Ask your school or local business to put "extra change" jars in the office, cafeteria, stadium, concession stands, etc...(jars are available through The Well)

USE YOUR VOICE: (TELL)

Ask if a representative from The Well can give a presentation about DRC at your school, church or special event
Ask your friends and family to get involved
